Spokane Wildfire Academic Consortium Repository

The Wildfire Consortium collection preserves research, data, and other materials generated through the Spokane Wildfire Academic Consortium. The Consortium was established in 2026 in response to the Spokane Complex Wildfires, which burned more than 10,000 acres and destroyed over 800 homes, businesses, and other structures. Bringing together interdisciplinary expertise from academic, public health, and community partners, the Consortium advances wildfire-related research, informs evidence-based decision making, improves public communication, and strengthens community resilience.

The repository includes datasets, research outputs, and related materials documenting the impacts of the Spokane Complex Wildfires and the region’s ongoing recovery process. These resources support current and future research, facilitate collaboration among investigators, and provide a trusted evidence base for communities, practitioners, policymakers, and other stakeholders working to understand and respond to wildfire-related challenges in the Inland Northwest.
