Gonzaga’s Chemistry & Biochemistry department provides scholars with excellent opportunities to test the laws and theories of chemistry through hands-on experiments. Students build strong laboratory skills and develop an understanding of topics in organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, and biochemistry, led by a student-centered faculty. The Chemistry & Biochemistry faculty are a group of knowledgeable and dedicated scientists and teachers who provide research guidance, academic advising and professional mentorship. In addition to faculty research in their own specialty areas, the department emphasizes undergraduate research through opportunities to conduct experiments in university laboratories.
