Abstract
Job satisfaction is a matter that touches the majority of people in the industrialized world. Research regarding the relationship between job satisfaction and relationships with co-workers is somewhat incomplete. This study examines that relationship through the lens of Anthony Giddens’s theory of structuration to test the difference between theory and its implications. Surveys were distributed to three organizations asking employees a range of questions about their job satisfaction and relationships with co-workers. Results revealed a transparent link between job satisfaction and the relationship among coworkers.
