Abstract
The presentation will tell two stories at the intersection of print and digital media: why and how they are developing a digital critical edition of the J.R.R. Tolkien fanzine Entmoot (1965-1966) from the S. Gary Hunnewell Tolkien Fanzine Collection at Raynor Memorial Libraries, and what the fanzine teaches us about building and preserving public digital scholarship in this new media moment. They will share their project goals and discuss how they designed and developed the project over the past year. They will also reflect on genre and media in the context of the new web publishing support service from the Digital Scholarship Lab at the Raynor Memorial Libraries.
