Abstract

Political scientist Dov Waxman reviews Antisemitism: What Everyone Needs to Know, authored by David Harris, former chair of the American Jewish Committee. Part of Oxford University Press’s What Everyone Needs to Know series aimed at general readers, the book provides a basic history of antisemitism through the present, including explaining its relationship to the Holocaust, but it devotes much more attention to what the author alleges is antisemitism on the left, particularly concerning Israel, than to antisemitism on the Far Right, and it fails to engage with or reflect contemporary scholarship on antisemitism.
