Abstract
Go beyond the buzzwords! Living the Lingo is a new series that explores key concepts related to mission. These interactive 50-minute Zoom sessions include background on the topic and a Gonzaga colleague who is committed to embodying this term.
This semester, we’ll explore what is meant by “accompanying” students in a hope-filled future, especially as it relates to accompanying students in civic engagement. We’ll examine this word “accompaniment” as understood in the Jesuit tradition and consider what it might mean for us at Gonzaga. Rebecca Donaway, faculty in Communication Studies will be our special guest and share with us how she accompanies students and she will also shares tips with us.
